What ages do you work with?
12 to 23 and up. If you're young and serious about running a real business, that's who this is for — the seriousness matters more than the exact age.
Can a teenager actually start a business?
Yes — if you're a minor, a parent signs off on payment; that's the only legal piece. If you're 18 or older, it's just you. Either way, the business is yours to run.
Can I start a business as a teen over the summer?
Yes — summer is one of the most common times to start, especially for service businesses like lawn care, pressure washing, or detailing where demand picks up. Take the quiz and we can move fast if you want to be live before summer's over.
What if I don't have money to pay upfront?
We offer a revenue share option — no cash needed to start. We take a small percentage once your business is actually making money, capped so it never turns into an open-ended cost.
How long does it take?
Depends on the plan — a Starter build is fast, a Full Launch takes more time since there's more built. We'll give you a real timeline once we know what you're building.
Do I own the website after it's built?
Yes. It's your business and your site.
What kind of businesses do you build for?
Service businesses — landscaping, pressure washing, junk removal, detailing, tutoring, and similar. We're not doing e-commerce or online stores yet.
Do you help with SEO, or just build the site?
Both. Every site is set up with basic SEO so it actually shows up in search — a site that's live but invisible doesn't do you any good.
Do you offer sales coaching?
For some niches, yes — it depends on your business. A site and a listing get people to find you; coaching helps you close the work once they call. We'll tell you during the quiz whether it applies to yours.
Who actually does the work?
Kole and Aiden. We build every site, logo, and profile ourselves — nothing outsourced.
Do you design business cards, shirts, or other merch?
Yes — business cards, t-shirts, truck decals/signs, yard signs, and flyers. We design it; we just don't print it. We'll point you to a printing service to get the physical items made.
Do you help after the site launches?
Yes — we check in either way. Full ongoing support (hosting, small edits, monitoring) comes with the $10/mo add-on, or automatically if you're on the Revenue Share plan, since that includes ongoing support built in. A founder community is coming soon too.
Who is Spark NOT a good fit for?
If you're not actually serious about starting or growing a business, this isn't for you. Spark works with founders who are ready to put in real work — whether that's launching something brand new or growing a business you're already running. We're not the right fit for someone who just wants to browse.
Can Spark help grow a business I already have, not just launch a new one?
Yes. Spark isn't only for brand-new businesses — if you're already running one and want a real website, better branding, or to actually show up in search, that's exactly what we build too.
How fast will you respond?
Within 24 hours, usually faster. Text is the fastest way to reach us directly.
Do you only take a certain number of clients?
Yes — we cap it at 4 new founders a month. We're two people, and we'd rather build a smaller number of businesses right than rush a larger number.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card (via Stripe), PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp.
Do you offer an AI Voice Agent or receptionist?
Yes — an AI Voice Agent that answers missed calls for you is available as a Custom add-on. It's priced based on what you need, since it has real ongoing costs behind it. Reach out to talk through it.
Does starting a business with Spark help with college applications?
For older teens, yes — a real, launched business is a genuinely strong thing to point to on a college application. It shows initiative in a way a club or a part-time job usually doesn't.
Do I get anything to show my business is Spark-built?
Yes — every founder gets a "Spark Certified Founder" badge for their new site once you launch.
Does a parent need to be involved?
If you're a minor, yes — a parent signs off on payment, that's it. If you're 18 or older, it's just you. Either way, the business and the work are yours.
Where are you located — do I need to be nearby?
No. We work with young founders nationwide. It doesn't matter what state you're in — everything's built remotely.
Does the process look the same for every plan?
No — the steps flex depending on what you buy. A Starter build moves fast through a simple setup. A Full Launch includes a deeper market research pass and a full branding pass on top of the site itself. Same eight-step process, different amount of work inside each step.
What if my business doesn't take off?
Honestly, that can happen — not every business does, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Our own co-founder's first business barely made $1,500 in a year. But you'll walk away with a real site, a real logo, and a real listing either way — that's infrastructure most people never get around to building at all, whatever happens next.
